This partnership, applicable to all Group entities in France, enables us to benefit from strengthened expertise in the field of responsible procurement, as well as access to the Hosmoz directory, which lists the 2,400 ESAT (Establishment or Service for Work Support) and EA (Adapted Enterprises) in France.
ESAT- EA: what are we talking about?
The ESAT is a medico-social structure that supports, in both social and professional integration, any person whose work capacities are less than one third of the capacity of a “able-bodied” person, meaning they are unable to work in an ordinary or adapted company, nor to carry out independent professional activity. The EA is comparable to a typical ordinary company, with the specific feature of employing predominantly workers with disabilities. In an EA, workers with disabilities account for at least 55% of the total workforce.
Why procure via ESAT / EA?
Beyond addressing the various CSR challenges, using ESAT-EA makes it possible, in part, to meet one’s Obligation to Employ Workers with Disabilities. The law requires every company with 20 employees or more to employ workers with disabilities at a minimum level of 6% of its total workforce. When this direct employment rate is not achieved, the government requires us to pay a contribution that we must settle each year. Purchases from ESAT and EA help reduce this legal contribution, since 30% of the cost of the services can be deducted from this contribution.
